The toolkit specifies the minimum web and desktop-based functionality requirements needed to support e-learning in the national training system. This list provides information on commonly-used e-learning applications and tools, including functionality, examples of use, known issues, and basic technical and network configuration requirements.This is a revised, replacement version of the Basic technical requirements for commonly-used VET e-learning applications document originally published in 2007. A new section including information on virtual classroom tools has been added.The document is directed equally to IT managers, network managers, e-learning practitioners and teachers and trainers, with the purpose of providing a starting-point for discussion on enabling the use, and increased availability of e-learning tools within their organisation.
